Samitha is from katathur village Andimadam Taluk and Ariyalur dt. It’s a remote
village and people are very backward. Now they have awareness. They have to
ravel for 10km for their basic facilities. Even for their medical emergency they
have to come nearly 15km. There is a primary school. They make use of it but for
their higher studies they travel long.
Her mother is a widow she goes to cashew- nut factory for daily wage. Samitha
lost her father six years back. Her mother is a young widow they live depend on
her daily wage. We have Widows welfare Association she is member of it through
that we extent some help to her. Every day she travels at least 7km for her daily
wage. She comes by bicycle. As a young widows its very difficult to look after her
children as she comes for work she has to leave the children alone so Samitha is
with us in our home. She is very good and smart. She miss her mother very badly
but when she feels her mother’s difficulties she adjust with the situation. We
admire her sacrifice in this small age. She is good at studies. She has big ambition
for her future. Now and then she feels for her mother. Our support will console her
and future will be bright.
