The Nelly Bouchardeau association is a French association that is committed to helping, through sponsorship, centers that welcome underprivileged children in India. Marie-Paule, our founder and president, therefore decided to take over the centers that Nelly was in charge of. Meanwhile, one more came to join the previous ones: Jeevan Jothi home for children (Life of Light), run by Salesian missionaries. Marie-Paule feels a very particular affection for the latter, because, herself, as a baby, was taken in by an establishment which belonged to the same congregation: “Mercy Home” in Chennai.
The association has six centres with few sponsored children. They consider sponsoring as an eminently important act because it is the beginning of a very beautiful story. They are also ambitious about creating small agricultural farms in order to improve the quality of the food for the children in the centres.
It’s giving them a chance to get off to a good start to life. Become a godfather and/ or godmother it is to build a relationship very personal with a young person, Very curious about the world around him and who wishes to exchange with people outside his environment.
View ChildrenThe sponsors undertake to forward, each month through the association, the full amount of the sponsorship to the centre caring for the child. Indeed, we would like to emphasise here that: the operation of the association is ensured by the annual contribution of each member, as well as by donations, and by part of the receipts of the annual gala and sales on the markets.

We have 6 Centres with more than 500 children and 47 teachers. each centres has an average of 60-70 children who are provided a better lifestyle. Thanks to the sponsors of those kids. The good parents are made sure that they're in regular contact with their godchild to get to know them better.
